Russia to buy 518.2 bln rbl of foreign currency, gold Nov 9–Dec 6
MOSCOW, Nov 3 (PRIME) -- Russia’s government plans to buy 518.2 billion rubles of foreign currency and gold from the open market under the budget rule from November 9 through December 6, spending 25.9 billion rubles a day, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Budget revenue from oil and gas sales is to stand at 409.9 billion rubles in November.
In January, the ministry returned to foreign currency purchases, suspended in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The amount of planned currency purchases in the period from October 7 until November 8 stands at 317.6 billion rubles, or 15.1 billion rubles per day.
